Battle Creek, MI (PRWEB) October 02, 2014

In its latest blog post, A Forever Recovery, an open-ended drug and alcohol treatment program that gets clients off to a great start and gives them a solid foundation in recovery they can believe in, is celebrating the theme of a graduation ceremony that took place on August 22: Peer Appreciation.

Our program is all about providing clients with the support they need to break free of addiction and live healthy, happy sober lives, commented A Forever Recoverys CEO Per Wickstrom. And while our incredible staff is a big part of this support commitment, we also encourage our clients to support each other even if its by saying `hey, I know what youre going through and you arent alone. As complex and multi-layered as addiction and recovery issues are, there are times when simply knowing that someone cares and is ready to lend a helping hand or maybe a shoulder to cry on is invaluable, and makes all the difference.

Some of the comments that graduates made at the August 22 ceremony include:

When I came here, I didnt have any intention of making any real friends. I just wanted to get through the program and get out of here. I made some of the realest friends Ive had my entire life.

This really is a peer-based program. If you immerse yourselves in the program and in friendships, you will succeed.

I have to give one of my biggest thanks to my womens MRT, my penthouse roommate, my friends that I madeyou guys all touched my life in a really big way and I really appreciate everything you guys did for me. I could not have done this without you.”

I really feel like Im leaving with a bigger family than I already had. So thank you for being my new brothers and sisters.

My hearts about to come out of my chest right now, I feel like. Want to thank everybody right here these are all my peers and without them I really wouldnt be here right now. I thank all you guys from the bottom of my heart. Im so proud of myself right now and its the first time Ive accomplished anything in a long time.

My peers especially a few of the peers have definitely helped me stay focused and actually do something that furthered me and changed my life.

(Ive) got to thank the staff and the peers for (my transformation). I know I couldnt have (done) it on my own.

About A Forever Recovery

A Forever Recovery program is an open-ended drug and alcohol treatment program that gets clients off to a great start and gives them a solid foundation in recovery they can believe in. Not every treatment methodology works for every client. Some people are very receptive to 12-step principles, whereas others are more comfortable with faith-based treatment. Cognitive approaches have excellent success, whereas others thrive within a more holistic approach. A Forever Recovery allows clients to choose from a wide range of recovery methodologies, coupled with Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT), to achieve success rates unmatched in the addiction treatment industry. The bottom line is that there is no single therapeutic approach to recovery that works for everyone until now.
